The arts and humanistic thought provide an increasingly necessary standpoint of reflection on scientific and technological knowledge. At the same time, the scientific perspective can be enriched and its capacity for innovation enhanced through its juxtaposition to artistic creativity.
By way of a collaboration agreement with the Universitat de Barcelona and the Fundació Bosch i Gimpera, Arts Santa Mònica seeks to open up the laboratories scientific research

to those areas of artistic cretivity that are eager for new themes and contents, new tools and new science-related languages.
Science must be one of the nuclei giving impetus to the new creativity.
